Drop one of these treats into your full bath water. Watch them bubble and fizz in in your bath. May or may not contain the following: gel colorant, shea butter, sodium bicarbonate, jojoba oil, citric acid, vegetable glycerin, witch hazel, apple essential oil, essential oil.

  1. Grind citric acid with mortar and pestle. If you don’t have it, a bowl will work by pressing a spoon against it, an old coffee grinder also works well. Try not over grind.
  2. Mix sodium bicarbonate, shea butter and citric acid in a bowl.
  3. Add desired amount of essential oil, fragrance, and/or gel colorant to mixture.
  4. Use vegetable glycerin to meet the appropriate consistency for a uniform bath bomb.
  5. when less is more. Spray with alcohol 2 or 3 times. The mixture should hold its shape when you squeeze it in your hand. If it doesn’t, spray a little bit more.
  6. Fill the mold with the mixture. Mold size and shape preference is your decision.
  7. After about 30 minutes, you can release the bath bombs from the mold.
  8. Shelf life – best to use within a month or else their fizz will not be so effective anymore
